National Weather Service - Confidence is growing that a significant winter weather event will impact the Highlands, Cashiers, and Sapphire Valley this weekend. Travelers should be prepared for hazardous road conditions, and scattered power outages are possible, with impacts potentially lingering into early next week depending on how quickly snow and ice melt.
